About Me

My name is Julie Colligan and I am a fully qualified professional mobile therapist based in the High Peak, Derbyshire, providing Holistic Therapies in the comfort of your own home. I pride myself on high professional standards, excellent care and commitment to continuous development of my knowledge and skills. As a Holistic Practitioner I utilise a variety of complementary therapies to increase the overall well being of my clients.

I am proud to be a Registered Member of the IFPA (International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) with professional qualifications in Aromatherapy, Aromatherapy Massage incorporating Acupressure, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Swedish Body Massage, Thermo-Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candling) and Holistic Facial Massage.

Holistic therapy is an approach designed to help people heal, taking into account more than just the particular ailment they’re suffering from. Holistic therapy looks at the person as a whole: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Many cultures believe our balance between these and nature affects our health directly. Holistic therapy is about balancing these aspects and healing on all levels. This differs from conventional medicine’s view that physical ailments are separate and unrelated to non-physical aspects such as emotional state and belief system.

Complementary therapies can be safely and helpfully applied in conjunction with conventional medical treatments and should never be used as a replacement for seeking professional medical advice. 
I also work as a registered general nurse and with over twenty years experience I practice in a caring, genuine and totally confidential manner. Despite my nursing background, like any other holistic therapist, I do not diagnose, prescribe or claim to cure.
